Non-sense. It's readily apparent that the boys are PUSHING the dog. They are using the stick to as a defensive tool to prevent the dog from biting them. If you push a stick far enough into a dog's mouth, it will reflexively pull back. Obviously, from the pictures, it works.

Saw the same set elsewhere, only the order was reversed - they rescued the dog from the river and pulled it up - so which is it?
obviously they rescued it.
if they were pushing it in they would have just kicked it, not lowered it down slowly.
i'm a professional dog kicker, i know these things.
yea you can see in the second picture he's pulling it up, that'd be a weird way to push a dog
