In the midst of job searching and writing and attempting to become famous, my computer has crashed pretty damn hard.
I bought a new hard drive and reinstalled XP while attempting to bring the old drive back to life. I've got the old files, but can't get the HD to boot. I'm guessing my programs are toast.
Service pack 2 is 112 megs? Damn...

you should find a good computer technician, who is a friend, to help out... i know of one for you from Dayton....
Yo Juan. You need to use an online backup service like mozy.com (2 gigs free) or carbonite.com ($5 a month). I use it for some clients as a secondary backup method.
Hold on to the hard drive, in case it's a bad bearing, or some other replaceable part. You might be able to get the data back, if it was a physical failure.
